Mindfulness as integration

Mindfulness practice is a very practical and direct way of dealing with complexity and diversity  within ourselves. We experience ourselves through our physical body, our emotions, our mental activity  such as thoughts and our imaginations. These are just some of the main ways we function in our lives and sometimes these main ways of functioning can be at odds with each other. For example, our physical  drive can be pulling us in one direction which is quite different from what we think we should or should not be doing in that area and our emotions can be mixed on the topic. This is a very human condition. The integration of these faculties into a harmonious  relationship  is an obvious and  benefit of regular mindfulness practice. This week we will be focusing on how a simple practise can achieve  great things.
